Profile
Ms. Gauri Kapoor is an Assistant Professor at IMDR Pune, where she teaches courses under the International Trade specialization. Her teaching integrates applied learning and a data-driven approach to understanding developments in foreign trade, with a strong emphasis on global perspectives in trade and investment.
Research Interests
Her research interests lie in international trade policy, global value chains, trade facilitation, and economic literacy among youth. She is particularly inclined towards collaborative and interdisciplinary research that bridges academic insights with policy relevance in the context of trade and development.
Experience
Prior to joining IMDR, Gauri taught at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, where she handled courses in International Trade, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics, while leading field-based research initiatives. She was previously a Young Professional with the G20 Cell at the Department of Commerce, Government of India, where she contributed to policy briefs, position papers, and stakeholder dialogues under Indias G20 trade agenda. As a Research Fellow at the Centre for Regional Trade (IIFT), she worked on Indias trade negotiations with key partners and multilateral forums. She has also volunteered with Pratham Education Foundation, contributing to their skilling and livelihoods programs through research and data analysis.
