Mr. Shaunak Kishor Mainkar is an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Deccan Education Society’s Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), Pune, and a SEBI Registered Research Analyst (INH000009269). With a strong academic background (NET, SET, M.Com, CMA-Inter) and ongoing doctoral-level research in financial markets under the Fellow Program in Management (FPM), he brings a blend of scholarly rigor and industry expertise. His professional experience spans equity and derivatives research, course development, and financial education.
He has taught across reputed institutions including BMCC, Ness Wadia College, Modern College, and Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, delivering specialized courses in financial markets and management. His research has been published in UGC and Scopus indexed journals, and he has designed financial literacy content for international schools. Recognized with multiple awards, including for derivative trading performance and innovative pedagogy, he continues to contribute actively to academia, research, and industry consulting
Experience
Mr. Mainkar has over seven years of academic experience, teaching finance and accounting at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has served as a faculty at BMCC, Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Modern College, and Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, and currently teaches Financial Management, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management,Financial Planning & Wealth, and Derivatives at IMDR. In industry, he works as a SEBI-registered research analyst, where he provides risk-optimized equity and derivatives research since 2022. He has also conducted training programs, credit courses, and financial literacy workshops for diverse audiences.
