Dr. Nishita Desai has been awarded a Ph.D. in Management from GLS University, Ahmedabad, and is the recipient of the prestigious I. M. Nanavati Best Thesis Award. She has also been recognized by IMDR, Pune, for her research contribution. With an MBA in Human Resource Management and a strong academic foundation in Commerce, Dr. Desai brings a blend of academic and corporate experience to her teaching. She has served in leadership roles across education and corporate sectors, in Branding and Business development Roles including at Cotyledons EduTech Pvt. Ltd. And Zee Learn Ltd, before transitioning fully into academics. At IMDR Pune, she teaches across Marketing and HRM domains, mentors’ students, and leads institutional initiatives. Her research spans teacher training, education industry dynamics, AI in business, and sustainable management practices, with publications in SCOPUS, ABDC, and UGC Care journals.

Dr. Nishita began her career as an HR Executive with Total HR Consultancy and later moved into the education sector, working with Zee Learn Ltd. and Cotyledons Edutech as Head of Business Development. With over 6 years of corporate experience, she transitioned into academics and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), Pune, since March 2023.
