Profile and History :
Daughter of the noted research scholar and Professor Dr. Madhukar Namjoshi, Rasika Datar, graduated from the Fergusson College and is an alumni of IMDR.
Beginning her professional career with The Blue Diamond Hotel Pune , Rasika Datar went on to establish her own Advertising Agency "Synergy Communications" in 1995. Synergy Communications today is an established Advertising Company, offering a range of services in Strategy & Design consultancy. These include, Market Research, Social media Advertising, Media Planning, Digital marketing, Visual Merchandising, Navigation Solutions, Event Marketing, Packaging Design, Content Creation and Website Design. The Company has been offering multi-media sales promotion services to Multinational Companies, Hospitality Industry, Real Estate Industry & many others over a span of two & half decades. She feels that industry experience in Advertising and Marketing can be extremely helpful in teaching the management students the real life dimension of sales and marketing, advertising, entrepreneurship
She has been teaching Entrepreneurship development wherein she has ensured that students not only conduct an in depth study of successful entrepreneurs worldwide but are encouraged and guided to come up with innovative entrepreneurial ideas. In this process numerous young entrepreneurs have taken shape!

She has been training students in the academic and practical aspects of Advertising, Marketing & Entrepreneurship. An entrepreneur herself, she has to her credit rich experience of being a Proprietor of a full service Advertising Agency for the last 25 years.
Her passions include a flair for writing and a love for drama. She acted in the TV serial "Yethe Nandato Balu" with the noted actor Prabhaker Wadekar. She has also won the international award for her role as Portia in Shakespeare's play ‘Merchant of Venice’. She has to her credit multiple prizes for Poetry & Creative writing.
