Profile:
Dr. Abhijeet Shivane is a Professor of Operations at IMDR. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and a DBM from Dr. B.A.M.U. Chhatrapati Sambhaji nagar and MMS from Pune University, and an MBA from CSM IGS Canada (Center – TASMAC Pune). He completed his Ph.D. from RTM Nagpur University, on the topic ‘Impact of Information Technology on Banking Service Operations’.
Dr. Shivane brings 29 years of professional experience to his role, comprising 4 years in industry and 25 years and 4 months in teaching. His career began as a Maintenance Engineer at Garware Polyester Ltd Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (1996-2000). Passionate about education, he transitioned to academia and has since taught at various Management and Engineering institutes, including ICFAI National College Akola, Omegan School of Business Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Government College of Engineering Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, P.E.S. College of Engineering Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Government Polytechnic Jalna, and Government Polytechnic Latur.
He joined IMDR in 2010 as a Lecturer in Operations, advanced to Associate Professor in December 2019, and became Professor in Operations in August 2023.
Dr. Shivane has also been active on LinkedIn, writing insightful articles on topics such as Education, Entrepreneurship, Personality, and Supply Chain Management.
