Report on Alumni Meet of Batch 1973-75 held on 19.12.22.
The Alumni Meet for the batch of 1973-75 was held on 19.12.2022 at 11.30am. Following Alumni were present for the meeting
- Ashok Ranade( Resident of Canada - presently in Pune)
- Bhagwant More ( Presently has a rank of High court Judge)
- Sanjay Sukhtankar (Ex VP CitiBank, presently a consultant)
- Anil Kulkarni (Head of placements in B School)
Dr. Anil Keskar, , Shri. Mahesh Athavale , Chairman IMDR LMC, Dr. Shikha Jain, Director IMDR, faculty, staff and students of IMDR were present for the event.
Dr.Shikha Jain, welcomed the Alumni of the batch of 1973-75 and addressed the audience.
Dr. Giribala Devasthale, briefed the gathering about IMDR Alumni Association, IMDRAA its objectives and the ongoing mentoring programme AMETHYST.
This was followed by an experience sharing session by the Alumni. Dr. Keskar, explained the management education scenario during the early years of Management Education in Pune and how the MBA course at Pune University was shifted to IMDR.
Shri. Bhagwant More talked about his journey from a very humble, agricultural background to that of an IAS officer, the learning on campus and fond memories of Dr. PC Shejwalkar.
Shri. Ashok Ranade talked about the management education during the era, the participation in inputs to the curriculum and the student-faculty relationship.
Shri. Anil Kulkarni highlighted the importance of sales profile jobs as a building block to a corporate career.
The students asked several questions to the alumni batch, which were answered adequately, and in an interesting way by the batch.
The event concluded with joint lunch with staff, faculty and alumni.
