He strongly mentioned that DATA is a new fuel for today’s Generation. Today’s generation is addicted to technology like anything. We can’t think to live without technology. Artificial Intelligence is the latest development of technology. He mentioned that machines are performing better than human beings in many case and this is possible only if such machines get Data. AI will work based on input fuelled to it and that is data. He mentioned that how knowingly or unknowingly we all are generating data and providing this to many organisations.
However, he cautioned, that, the ability of Artificial Intelligence is dependent on the examples being shown to it, better the example, and better is the analysis of AI. He also said there is a debate going on in the science community as to should AI be allowed to evolve further than where it is already. He also briefly described the future, if AI is allowed to continue it’s evolution, he said from it’s current primitive stage, AI may acquire General Intelligence and from that evolve into super intelligence which could then control everything in our lives, there is also a counter view that as AI evolves, we will also evolve and have different kind of jobs as monotonous repetitive jobs may get wiped out as during the advent of machines.
He ended with a note that AI is merely a weapon and it is the intention of the user which matters as it can be misused for monitoring individuals as is the case in China.
