Ajay Nagre is a Management Graduate from the University of Pune, with specialization in Marketing Management. He also holds a Masters Diploma in Business Administration from IMDR, and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade (PGDIT) from the prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, and a Bachelors Degree in Science, with specialization in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, from Ferguson College, University of Pune. He is an entrepreneur with over 25 years of industrial experience, in the field of the design, development and manufacture of transportation trailers. His expertise lies in Marketing, New Product Development and Industrial Relations. He has extensive experience in Rural Marketing and Marketing of Consumer Durables

In addition to his industrial career, he also has almost 20 years of academic experience. He has worked as visiting faculty at IMDR, from 1989 to June 2006.  He has also taught at other well-known management institutes like Pune University MBA (PUMBA), Symbiosis, Pune, amongst others. He has dedicated himself completely to the academic field since July 2006.

His interests are in the area of Global Business Management, International Marketing, Cross-Cultural Management, Marketing and Strategic Management. He has conducted training programmes for IBM, Bangalore, HP, Bangalore, Cognizant Technologies, Pune & Chennai, Wipro Infotech, Tata Motors, Lokmanya Hospital etc. He has also presented several papers on topics like International Marketing, Trends in Management Education, Going Global: Changing Prospects of Indian Corporation and Entrepreneurial Marketing, at prestigious conferences.

He has worked as Chairman, Paper Setter, Moderator, and Examiner for the University of Pune since 1997. He has anchored the process of developing the course structure and curriculum of two programmes, as also the initial setting up of the library for the Institute of International Business and Research, Pune, an Indo-German educational collaboration. He has also worked as a member of the selection panel for IMDR since 1993 and MBA selection panel at the Pune University.
